Vocational Profiles
A vocational profile helps you identify what you want to do and provides an opportunity to understand what a person is interested in and to explore why. You can download your own Vocational Profile here. Remember, a Vocational Profile is yours and should reflect you and your interests. You should feel confident in sharing it with other professionals in school, college and/ or training providers, anyone who supports you, and would be a good tool to help initial introductions with prospective employers, education and training providers.
Glossary of Terms
There are a lot of words and terms that you may hear but are unsure about what they mean. The Careers Hub worked with a group of young people to create a list of words and terms that you may come across.
One Page Profile
A one-page profile gives you the chance to tell people you are working with (teachers, employers etc) what your likes and dislikes are and how they can best support you to do your best. The Careers Hub team used One Page Profiles to learn about how each of us like to work and what we can do to support each other. If you are moving on from school into college, training, apprenticeships, or employment, now could be a really good time to complete a One Page Profile. You can download a template here.
