You will be charged an initial �30 materials fee which will cover some of your printing and materials costs. There will also be some extra costs involved with this course as we will organise trips to exhibitions both locally and to London.

Course Summary

This exciting new provision complements our existing Art and Design courses and is designed to help anyone who is interested in architecture and related engineering and design careers. You will be using our new laser cutting, bead blasting and 3D printing equipment as well as preparing presentations and visualisations of your work in Augmented and Virtual Reality 'fly-bys' and walk-throughs. You will be learning design, production and fabrication skills along with new 3D and production software. You can take this alongside any of our existing A levels as one of your choices, but you might well have Art and Design courses or Maths, Further Maths and Physics in your study programme. Previous qualifications An Art related, Design Technology or project-based GCSE grade 4 is desirable but not mandatory. Alternatively, you should bring a portfolio of work to your interview. Our general entry requirements to study 3 A-Levels or any mixed level 3 programme are: 5 GCSEs grade 4-9 including English Language and/or Maths at grade 5 or grade 4 for a Creative A level (Fine Art, Graphic Design, Textiles or Photography). Subject-specific entry criteria may also apply. Our general entry requirements to study 4 A-Levels are: 6 GCSEs grade 4-9 including English Language and Maths at grade 6. Subject-specific entry criteria may also apply.

Course Details

You will be set regular assignments and projects that will create identified assessment points. These will feed into your progress profile which drives the College Report process and compares you to your Target Minimum Grade which is based on your prior achievements at GCSE level. It also enables us to effectively measure your development and make estimated grade predictions. This continuous assessment then directs our guidance and support ensuring that your individual learning programme meets your needs.

Entry requirements

Our general entry criteria to study 3 A-Levels is: Minimum five GCSEs grade 4-9 with English Language or Maths at grade 5. For a mixed Level 3 programme the criteria are: Minimum five GCSEs grade 4-9 with English Language or Maths at grade 4. Subject specific entry criteria apply:No subject specific entry requirements.
