Health T Level

The T Level in Health will provide students with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment, higher level technical training or study in the Health and Science sector.

You will complete 315 hours of work placement in a variety of healthcare settings.

The core content for the T Levels will cover the following areas:

• Working within the Health and Science sector
• Health and Safety and Environmental regulations in the Health and Science sector
• Managing information and data within the Health and Science sector
• Providing person-centred care
• Infection Prevention and Control in Health Settings
• Good Scientific and Clinical Practice
• Core Science concepts

The core component will be assessed through two written examinations and through a practical employer-set project. In addition to this, Maths, English and general digital skills will be integrated within the qualification in occupationally relevant contexts. The occupational specialism will be assessed with a case study assessment, practical assessments and a professional discussion.

Five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including Maths and English at grade 4 and Science at grade 5.

• Employment:
• Healthcare support worker in a health setting
• Senior healthcare support worker in a health setting
• Apprenticeship
