Course Summary
If you are interested in languages and communication, and enjoy learning about other cultures and ways of life, then a modern language course could be suitable for you. Similarly, if you are interested in the business world, in travel or tourism, in literature, or in journalism and the media, this course is appropriate.

Students will have the opportunity to develop their linguistic competence to a high standard in the 4 language skills, to acquire a good knowledge of grammar and to broaden their cultural knowledge of Spanish speaking countries.

Paper 1: Listening, reading and writing- 45%- 1 hour 45 minutes

One text or one film from the list in the specification

Entry requirements
Grade 6 (minimum) at GCSE, plus a good memory and logical mind, an enjoyment of language learning. You must be prepared to work independently (listening, reading practice and grammar exercises).
