Course Summary

Students will have the opportunity to develop their linguistic competence to a high standard in the 4 language skills, to acquire a good knowledge of grammar and to broaden their cultural knowledge of Spanish speaking countries.

Paper 1: Listening, reading and writing- 45%- 1 hour 45 minutes

One text or one film from the list in the specification

Paper 3: Speaking – 30%- 12-14 minutes plus 15 minutes preparation time

Entry requirements

Grade 6 (minimum) at GCSE, plus a good memory and logical mind, an enjoyment of language learning. You must be prepared to work independently (listening, reading practice and grammar exercises).
