Course Summary

This course is designed to give you the opportunity to study a range of subjects which will support progression onto further study at Level 2 and develop transferable skills.

Course Details

There are a diverse range of units with a mixture of practical and theory sessions to introduce you to different subject areas, such as;

- Personal Development and Progression,

- Customer Service within the workplace,

- Planning and running events within your interested area,

- The importance of being active and healthy.

The units are designed to give you an introduction to a variety of courses. You can then use these skills to make an informed choice for progression onto a Level 2 programme of your choice.

The programme is taught through theoretical and practical sessions supported by functional skills. Each lesson will provide you with assessment opportunities as you work to achieve your goals and targets. You will need an active passion for learning and enthusiasm for new challenges and experiences. This will provide you with an opportunity to kick start your career path.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

We will use continuous assessment rather than examinations and you will be able to track your performance as you work towards your targets. You will be encouraged to manage your own assessments and identify where you have met the required standards. We use a variety of methods to access such as projects / group work / written reports / practical assessments.

Entry requirements

4 GCSE’s or equivalent – Grade 2 or above.
