Course Summary

This course enables you to explore the fast-paced world of Travel and Tourism. You will explore different aspects of the industry from the front line in the roles of Cabin Crew, Holiday Reps or Travel Agents to behind the scenes within Tour Operations, Marketing and Customer Service.
This is a very practical course involving group work, role plays and presentations.

Course Details

We try to include as many trips as possible to enhance your studying and give you first-hand experience within the Travel and Tourism industry. We offer both day trips to visitor attractions and residential trips overseas. Some of the places we have visited in recent years include New York, LA, Croatia and Portugal.

The aim of the qualifications is to provide learners with an understanding of the principles of the travel and tourism industry and allow them to explore the various avenues of work within this fast growing sector. This course will allow learners to gain transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

A wide variety of assessments will be used. This programme is assessed continuously throughout the year with no examinations. Methods of assessment may include presentations, practical demonstrations, posters, reports, discussion, workbooks, group work, vlogs and blogs.

Entry requirements

The course requires successful applicants to have 5 GCSEs grades 4 and above these must include English and Maths. Successful applicants must also demonstrate a willingness to become involved in all aspects of the course, including the practical experiences
