Course Summary
All of your work will follow a vocational scenario or context that simulates a real-world situation. This course is 100 % coursework. You will present your work in a range of formats. You will be assessed on your research, development and experimentation and final outcomes and you will be encouraged to develop your work and professional practice through evaluation and self-reflection. All units will be graded against the Assessment Objectives set by UAL, with the final unit in year 2 being graded either a Pass, Merit or Distinction, which will become your overall grade for the qualification.
Course Details
Miskin Music provides specialist training for aspiring musicians, singers, producers and sound technicians. Working in our bespoke rehearsal rooms, studios and live venue, you will deliver performances and recordings designed to provide you with the perfect platform to develop a career in these demanding and vibrant creative industries. Miskin Voice is an exciting industry focussed course tailored to the needs of the contemporary singer, available at Level 2 and Level 3. Whether it be pop, rock, RnB, or soul, Miskin Voice will enable you to develop in a professional environment working towards live shows in our impressive facilities. You will be trained by experienced industry practitioners to maximise your potential as a singer and performer working alongside a diverse range of Miskin musicians and Producers. Equivalent to 3 A Levels, a total of 72-168 UCAS points, depending on grades achieved). The Miskin experience will support you in becoming a well-trained, clear-thinking artist ready to take your first steps into the industry. You will also develop the skills that all employers are looking for, including teamwork, self-confidence, communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to meet targets.

Entry requirements
Minimum of four GCSEs grade 4 - 9 including English and preferably maths and one creative subject. Or an equivalent Level 2 Qualification in Music at merit or above. You will need a positive school report/recommendation/reference from your school/tutor. You will be required to attend an interview/audition where you will be required to perform a short piece (2 mins approx) to showcase your singing. You should aim to showcase versatility as you will be required to sing in various styles and genres on the course. Your audition cannot be accapella (solo) as we need to assess your tuning. Bring any backing music you need with you (mp3 etc). Your interview will require you to outline your background in the subject and any relevant previous experience or activities.
