Health and Social Care Applied Academic Qualification Level 3

This course explores and investigates the Health and Social care sector through a range of diverse units. The qualification develops a deep, common core of knowledge, understanding and skills through mandatory content.

The course is designed for students with an interest in a career in the health service or social care sector and is ideal to study alongside A Levels if you are looking to move into the healthcare sector.

Year 1:

• Human Lifespan Development
• Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs

Year 2:

• Working in Health and Social Care
• Physiological Disorders and their Care

There are two external units assessed through exams. The remaining two are assessed internally through assignments/projects & case studies.

This course could lead to any Health or Social Care degree course such as nursing, midwifery, social work or allied health professions such as physiotherapy, radiography or occupational therapy.
