Course Summary
Students with a wide range of sporting interests enjoy the BTEC Sport course. This course will support a number of jobs in the sporting industry.
It combines well with a large number of subjects and supports entry to higher education courses in a very wide range of disciplines (depending on the subjects taken alongside).
This qualification is equivalent to 1 A Level.
The subject is studied alongside other BTEC or A Level subjects.

What will I study?
Learners will study four units with three of these being mandatory units:
- Unit 1: Anatomy and Physiology
- Unit 2: Fitness Training and Programming for Health, Sport and Well-being
- Unit 3: Professional Development in the Sports Industry
- Unit 5: Application of Fitness Testing

2 x External Examinations (33.5% per paper)
2 x Internal Assessments (16.5% per assignment)

Minimum Entry Requirements
5 9-4 grades at GCSE including English and Mathematics (at minimum grade 4).and grade 4 in GCSE PE or equivalent grade 4 in BTEC Sport/VCERT
