Course Summary
Our Level 2 Business course provides you with a brilliant introduction to the world of business. You will explore business start-ups and learn more about business models during each stage of the process. You will also gain knowledge of business ownership, marketing, promotion, finance, business resources and legal requirements.
Course Details
Over the year you will complete different units that cover a wide range of business topics including: Researching business ideas Business ownership Business resources Market research Marketing & promotion Legal requirements Finance and cash flow Creating a business plan Each unit builds on knowledge and skills you developed in the previous unit. This qualification is ideal for learners who want to develop an understanding of the essential skills required to work successfully in a business environment, and gives them an understanding of business culture and responsibilities. This qualification also allows learners to develop the skills required to solve problems, communicate and work effectively with others, and gives them the opportunity to learn how to manage and improve their own performance in a business environment.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
You will create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of 100% of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit. The types of evidence for the portfolio could include: Assignments/projects/reports Presentations Creating marketing materials Writing a business plan Creating financial documents Conducting market research Record of oral and written questioning
Entry requirements
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3.

Learners who achieve this qualification and a grade 4 in English and maths could progress to: BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business Studies AAT Foundation Diploma in Accounting and Business Level 2 Previous students have progressed from their level 2 programme, to level 3 and then to university.
