Course Summary
Join us for this exciting one-year course, where you will increase your knowledge and gain new skills in the information technology sector. You will explore and examine the online world and enhance your skills in a number of software programmes to create digital graphics, animation and videos.
Course Details
You will study a range of topics including: * The online world * Technology systems * Computing in the workplace * Creating digital graphics * Creating digital animation * Creating digital video * Multimedia products development * Mobile apps development * Computational thinking * Spreadsheet development * Building a personal computer * Database development
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Two of your core units will be externally assessed by examination; the remainder of the units will be assessed through assignments and coursework, which will be completed to strict deadlines. You will also receive regular feedback from your tutors about your progress.
Entry requirements
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3.
Your next steps...
On completion of this course you can progress onto our Level 3 Computing qualification, or start an apprenticeship in IT.
