Course Summary
The Foundation Diploma provides the opportunity to consolidate and develop all the practical and conceptual skills you need to strengthen your application to some of the top universities in the country. Lecturers will use their experience to guide you through a series of masterclasses, workshops and seminars in all things creative. You will be encouraged to develop an independent attitude and approach to your work, managing your own learning as an emerging artist or designer.
Course Details
During this one-year course, you will have the creative freedom to explore your ideas as you undertake personal projects, work on briefs, and focus on creative outcomes in a range of creatives endeavours. This foundation year is all about preparing and strengthening your portfolio so you can progress to university. You will enjoy a series of masterclasses, workshops and seminars taught by our expert tutor and guest lecturers of visiting artists. You will have your own dedicated workspace and be able to use a range of materials to create your work.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Your assessment will consist of three core projects, of which the final project will determine the final grade.
Entry requirements
Minimum five grade 4-9 at GCSE including English or maths, and successful completion of the Level 3 course or 2 A Levels.A portfolio of work will be required.
