Games Development Level 2

The Games Development course will equip you with the skills to design and produce 2D games, covering game design, art generation, gameplay scripting and marketing. The academic year mirrors the game development production cycle closely, so you will be able to take your game concept through planning, production and promotion.

The Games Development course will equip you with the skills to design and produce 2D games. You will create 2D assets for your own portfolio, produce graphic design elements for your own game and branding using Photoshop, and produce a 2D game demo to meet a brief using Construct 3.

• A previous Level 1 qualification and/or GCSE Grades 2-3 - subject to interview

• Achieve Technical Media Production Level 2 Diploma (Games Pathway)

• Gain a foundation understanding of game design software such as Construct, Piskel, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

• Create a professional portfolio

• Explore various roles within the video games industry

• Progress to Level 3 courses in Games Design and Media Production
