Course Summary
Launch your career and delve into all aspects of the floristry creative design process.
Designed to provide you with a range of specialist technical and practical skills and knowledge which will equip you to progress to employment in the floristry industry.
You will study a range of floral design methods and techniques, as well as botany and business skills, to set up a freelance business successfully. You will cover how to produce a range of designs, including tied designs, wired designs, glued designs and designs in different mediums for a range of occasions.

Entry requirements
- You’ll need to have achieved 2 or more GCSEs between Grade 9-3 (previous grade structure grades A*-D) in English and maths
- Successful completion of a Level 2 course at Merit grade
- Mature students without the above requirements will be considered
Your next steps...
You could progress onto the following qualifications:
- City and Guilds Level 4 Higher Diploma in Floristry
- City and Guilds Level 5 Master Diploma in Professional Floristry
Alternatively, you may choose to take on a role in a floristry shop or business, with a view to taking on a supervisory role.
