Course Summary

Are you creative? Are you interested in design, crafts and flowers?
This course is perfect for anyone interested in a career creating basic floristry techniques using their imagination. Enthusiasm and commitment to gaining new skills and learning about floristry will provide an excellent foundation for progressing to further learning.

Course Details

Modules include:
  • Identify flowers, foliage and plants
  • Produce and maintain shop displays
  • Produce planted designs
  • Assemble basic floral designs
  • Carry out basic floristry tasks

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed by external multiple-choice test and three assignments.

Entry requirements

EITHER:
  • Successful completion of the Rural Pathways programme and a strong interest in floristry
  • Or successful completion of a Level 1 course from another area
  • In addition to passing the interview process
  • Mature students without the above requirements will be considered

Successful completion of this Level 1 will lead you to progress on to Level 2 Floristry.
