Course Summary

You may only select this course if you have chosen the Academic & Vocational Pathway.

The Exploring Enterprise qualification introduces learners to the key areas of running a business. Learners will have the opportunity to develop enterprise skills and build knowledge in key areas essential for developing a business idea.

Learners will also recognise their personal enterprise skills and characteristics to make appropriate decisions about their own future progression.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The first three modules of this course provide students with the essential knowledge they need to achieve a Level 1 qualification. This lays the necessary foundations for students to successfully complete the final three modules and achieve a Level 2 qualification in Exploring Enterprise. Students will develop their skills as independent learners by completing a series of research tasks and producing evidence in a variety of formats including; infographics, PowerPoints, Webpage designs and a business plan. Students are given the opportunity to apply their knowledge to businesses of their choice when completing coursework assignments.

How is the course assessed?

Portfolio of evidence/coursework for all units/ centre assessment.

This course is 100% coursework based and suitable for students who prefer to build a portfolio of evidence to showcase their knowledge rather than that complete a written examination.

Entry requirements

Learners do not need any other qualifications as pre-requisites to entry
