Course Summary

The T-Level in Marketing is a two-year Level 3 programme designed as an alternative to A-Levels and Apprenticeships.

It combines classroom learning with practical experience through a minimum of 315 hours of industry placement. Developed in collaboration with employers, this qualification equips students with the knowledge and skills required for careers in marketing, sales, and procurement, or progression to higher education.

You will study a Core Component and an Occupational Specialism in Marketing:

Year 1 Core Topics
The Business Environment Principles of Marketing, Sales, and Procurement Legislation, Regulation, and Ethics Sustainability in Business Communication in Business Project Management Impact of Technology on Business

Year 2- Occupational Specialism – Marketing
Apply research methods to support marketing activities Assess customers and stakeholders Develop and define marketing propositions Deliver effective marketing communications Analyse and evaluate marketing delivery effectiveness

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment is through externally set and marked components:

Core Component (50% of total) which included:
  • Paper 1: Business Principles (2.5 hrs)
  • Paper 2: Principles of Marketing, Sales & Procurement (2.5 hrs)
Employer Set Project: 10-hour synoptic project
Occupational Specialism (50% of total) Extended synoptic project (24.5 hrs) assessing practical marketing skills

Grading:
Core: A*–E
Occupational Specialism: Pass, Merit, Distinction
Overall T Level grade: Pass, Merit, Distinction, Distinction*

Entry requirements

Minimum five grade 4-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 2 course, and English or maths at grade 4.
