Portfolio, Unit task assessment

During the 1 year course, learners will have the opportunity to develop their essential life skills such as communication, numeracy and IT skills whilst also attending additional sessions to help improve their employability. With a successful completion of the Level 1 Certificate in Multiskills, learners will have the opportunity to apply for a foundation course in any one of the four core trades. The three core trades are: Carpentry, Painting and Decorating, and Brickwork. Course attendance will be three days a week at college.

Practical and Theory tasks, 1 exam based on Health & Safety

Grade 2 in Mathematics and English. Each learner will be interviewed before being accepted onto the course.

After successful completion of this course and following an interview, learners may progress onto a Level 1 trade diploma course in their chosen craft.t.
