The Gatsby Benchmarks

Gatsby Benchmark 4: Linking curriculum learning to careers

All teachers should link curriculum learning with careers. For example, STEM subject teachers should highlight the relevance of STEM subjects to a wide range of future career paths.

The Careers Hub have an online Padlet board where the latest careers resources and updates for schools, colleges and employers are shared. You can access the board here

The Careers Hub also have a suite of videos made with employers and education and training providers on their YouTube playlist here. Additional resources made by the Careers and Enterprise Company and other Careers Hubs across the country can be found on the resource directory here.

This webinar from the Careers Hub provides guidance on implementing careers within the curriculum. We have highlighted one careers resource linked to a each subject below to help you get started with connecting careers to the curriculum.
