Your Apprenticeship Story
Your Apprenticeship Story - Join the campaign now!
Apprenticeships play a vital role in growing a skilled, motivated workforce in East Sussex. They offer meaningful, hands-on learning for individuals while giving businesses the opportunity to develop home grown talent that understands their organisation from the ground up.
To showcase the impact apprenticeships have across our county, Skills and Employment East Sussex is inviting employers to take part in Your Apprenticeship Story, a social media campaign running from National Apprenticeship Week (February) through to July 2026.
This campaign is focussed on raising the profile of apprenticeships amongst employers in East Sussex and ultimately leading to more apprenticeships being available our communities.
How to get involved
- You can create a short video, upload an image, or post written content—whatever best suits your business or organisation’s apprenticeship story.
- We have created a free and open use media pack with information, template social media posts, campaign hashtags and guide for employers on filming simple soundbite videos shouting about their own apprenticeships and why others should get involved.
Your Apprenticeship Story media pack
- Media assets – free to use images and headers illustrating different roles for open use by employers and stakeholders during the campaign – optimised for use across different channels
Your Apprenticeship Story media assets
- Share the details of the campaign with your networks across East Sussex – the more people involved the wider the profile of the campaign will be.
- If you are an employer or organisation and want to access free, impartial support, (including access to funding) to help you employ an apprentice, speak to our Transform team today – transform@eastsussex.gov.uk
Why Your Story Matters
Many employers are interested in apprenticeships but unsure where to begin. Hearing directly from local businesses helps clarify the process and highlights the real difference apprenticeships can make, such as:
- Developing a skilled workforce that grows with your organisation
- Bringing in new ideas, energy, and practical support
- Reducing recruitment costs and filling skills gaps
- Supporting the local economy and helping shape the future talent pipeline
Your contribution will help raise awareness throughout the campaign, especially during key moments including the East Sussex Graduation Ceremony, Apprenticeship Roadshows, and June’s peak recruitment period.
