Health & Social Care Skills Bootcamps in East Sussex
The Health and Social Care Skills Bootcamp is designed to give you the confidence and knowledge to start your career in a sector that truly makes a big difference. This is a growing sector with a wide range of job opportunities in residential care, home support, hospitals, and community settings. Whether you're passionate about supporting vulnerable people, interested in healthcare, or exploring a new direction, this Skills Bootcamp is the perfect starting point. You will learn about essential principles such as safeguarding, communication, duty of care and equality and inclusion. These in demand skills will open doors for you to thrive in one of the UK's most rewarding industries.
Accreditation:
Participants will earn a nationally recognised iCQ qualification, plus a guaranteed interview with a local health and social care employer or support onto further qualifications and apprenticeships at the end of the course.
Each course will focus on a different health and social care specialism with certification:
- 30th June-30th July 2026: Understanding Autism (Level 2 Certificate)
For anyone who wants to support autistic people in care, education or community settings. Leads to roles supporting autistic adults in supported living, day services and community support.
- 4th August-3rd September 2026: Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Difficulties
Designed for those who want to work with adults with learning disabilities and additional needs. Leads to roles such as Support Worker (Learning Disabilities), Supported Living Support Worker and Community Support Worker.
- 8th September-8th October 2026: Awareness of Dementia (Level 3 Award)
A specialist programme for those drawn to dementia support and memory care. Leads to roles in dementia support, residential care and memory care settings.
Duration:
3 days a week for 4-6 weeks.
