Engineering Skills Bootcamps in East Sussex

The Introduction to Engineering Skills Bootcamp combines practical workshops and hands-on learning in industry-standard engineering facilities with collaborative group projects and employability-focused sessions embedded throughout delivery. ESC will deliver a Level 2 Introduction to the Engineering Industry, covering health and safety, core mechanical and electrical principles, engineering materials, tools and equipment, practical processes such as fabrication and maintenance, technical drawing, building services, and collaborative problem-solving. Delivery will take place at the fully accessible Ore Valley site, equipped with specialist resources, strong public transport links, and on-site support for learners with additional needs, led by experienced tutors with industry backgrounds. Employability skills are integrated through practical activities including CV development, analysing job descriptions, mock interviews with tutors and employers, tailored applications, employer talks, and the use of Bodyswaps AI-powered VR to develop soft skills, ensuring learners are well prepared for progression into apprenticeships and employment.
