Education and Early Years Skills Bootcamps in East Sussex

The Early Years Skills Bootcamp is a flexible training programme run over 16 weeks designed to give participants key skills to support working in Early Years. Our programme enables participants to complete 10 modules relating to working with children aged 0-5, and will include paediatric first aid, child development, safeguarding and prevent and the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our aim is to support participants by equipping them with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to begin a rewarding career or achieve a promotion in Early Years settings including nurseries, pre-schools, childminders etc. This bootcamp follows a pathway which would enable a participant to bring this learning into employment as a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprentice or employee undertaking a diploma.

Accreditation:

Paediatric First Aid Level 3

Duration:

1 day per week for 16 weeks.

Our Skills Bootcamp for Teaching Assistants is a fast-track route into the education sector, giving you the confidence, qualifications and practical know-how to thrive in a school environment. During this course you will understand how to safeguard children and young people, how children and young people develop (birth to 19 years), how to support Health and Safety in the learning environment and understand the role leisure, play, and extracurricular activities have on children and young people. You will gain a Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning. You will also be supported with vital employability skills, including how to write successful job applications, how to prepare for interview and how to source jobs in education. In addition, you will also gain vital sector insights from employers about the role of a Teaching Assistant and working within the education sector and will be offered a guaranteed interview at the end of the course!

Duration:

2 days a week for 5-6weeks.
