Entry Requirements: - Students wishing to study 3 Level 3 courses will be required to achieve 5+ GCSEs at grade 5 and above including English and Mathematics. However, some subjects have additional requirements in terms of the grades required. The Marsh Academy operates a sliding scale of qualifications which are outlined on the Marsh Academy website. There is scope for students to study 2 Level 3 subjects and also studying some Level 2 subjects. Students who wish to study two subjects must have attained 4+GCSEs at grade 5 or above.

Course Summary

The programme is designed for students with serious aspirations of playing golf at higher levels. This academy sits alongside the academic side of Sixth Form where all scholars must take part in a full academic programme at either Level 2 or 3. This makes the Marsh Golf Academy a truly educational golfing package. All academy entrants must follow an academic curriculum of their choosing in addition to their coaching and training programme. Students will have a minimum 6 hours of golf practice per week

Course Details

Our outstanding enrichment programme allows our students unique opportunities to experience the lifestyles of a professional rugby player. These experiences include:

• Access to Lydd Gold Club driving range and course – including transport

• PGA professional coaching

• Access to competitions across a range of golf clubs and courses

• Access to nutrition specialists

• Access to qualified Physiotherapy.

Entry requirements

Entry to the Golf Academy is through assessment by the golf coaches to determine suitability. This academy is aimed at students who play gold at a course regularly and either have or are looking to be playing from a recognised handicap.
