Course Summary
If you are keen to join one of the Armed Forces or the Emergency Services, this course is for you. It will help develop your personal organisation, team working, leadership, discipline and physical fitness.

Course Details
The Uniformed Services course is intended to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills required for successful employment in Uniformed Services at an operational level, or for progressing to advanced study.
The six units of study cover the role of Uniformed Services and Careers within the Armed Forces, Emergency and Security Services, HM Customs and Excise, and Community Service organisations, and the skills required to perform the roles.
Units include:
- Crime
- Role and Work of the Public Services
- Employment
- Adventurous Activities
- Citizenship Working Skills
How will it be delivered and assessed?
The course will be assessed by coursework and external exams. The coursework will take the form of written assignments, tutor observations, photographic, audio and video evidence. You will compile a portfolio of these assessments.

Progress to advanced programme of study e.g. Level 3 in Uniformed Services (merit or distinction preferred).
