Entry Requirements: - Students wishing to study 3 Level 3 courses will be required to achieve 5+ GCSEs at grade 5 and above including English and Mathematics. However, some subjects have additional requirements in terms of the grades required. The Marsh Academy operates a sliding scale of qualifications which are outlined on the Marsh Academy website. There is scope for students to study 2 Level 3 subjects and also studying some Level 2 subjects. Students who wish to study two subjects must have attained 4+GCSEs at grade 5 or above.

The NCFE Level 2 Employability Skills course is designed to prepare students for the world of work by developing essential skills and attitudes needed for employment. It provides practical learning experiences that help students understand employer expectations and improve their confidence in professional environments.

The course covers a range of topics including:

Effective communication in the workplace

Teamwork and collaboration

Problem-solving and decision-making

Time management and organisation

Preparing for interviews and job applications

Assessment is based on coursework and practical tasks. Students will complete assignments, participate in role-play scenarios, and produce evidence of their learning through portfolios. There are no formal written exams, making this course suitable for learners who prefer continuous assessment.

Students must achieve the minimum of a grade 1 in all Level 2 examinations

Upon successful completion, students can progress to Level 3 qualifications, apprenticeships, or enter the workforce in entry-level roles. The course provides a strong foundation for careers in customer service, administration, retail, and other sectors requiring strong employability skills.
