Higher Sports Leaders Award

The Higher Sports Leaders Award (HSLA) is a highly regarded course which develops your knowledge, understanding and application of leadership skills. You learn by completing classroom activities to help develop your skills which enable you to be involved in running a range of sporting events, for younger students and in junior school festivals. No exams are sat as part of this course.

How will I learn?

Teacher/student led seminars, discussions, group work. Practical Assessments in a real situation. How will I be assessed? The course is made up of eight compulsory units. All units are internally assessed and graded by teachers. An overall grade for the qualification is awarded to all learners who successfully complete all units. Grade awarded is PASS or FAIL.

Full time member of HCC Sixth Form. An interest in sport and community.
