How will I learn?
You will be given individual support, a well structured programme and as much advice as is needed, both in and out of the lessons.
There will also be chances for fieldwork where we can investigate Geography issues out of the classroom
How will it be delivered and assessed?
The course is assessed in four parts at the end of the two years of study:
Physical Geography examination 30% of the qualification
Human Geography examination 30% of the qualification
Decision making exercise/ synoptic paper based around a resource booklet about a topical geographical issue. 20% of the qualification
Independent Investigation: This is a chance for you to investigate a geography issue and conduct fieldwork using route to enquiry skills you will develop through the course. It involves a final write up of your findings that is marked by your tutor. 20% of the qualification
