Course Summary
BTEC Nationals in Sport
A BTEC National qualification is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. You focus on a particular subject area and develop a range of specialist skills and knowledge. These courses are vocationally based which means all units are portfolio based. No exams are sat as part of this course.
How will I learn?
Teacher/student led seminars, discussions, group work, video, experiments. Practical assessment. Computer based portfolios.
How will I be assessed?
The course is made up of between seven and nineteen units; core units provide a general foundation whilst specialist units introduce learners to particular topics in more depth. All units are internally assessed and graded by teachers. An overall grade for the qualification is awarded to all learners who successfully complete all units.
