Course Summary

Develop the core knowledge and skills which are needed for agriculture, land management and production careers.

The Common Core content provides foundational knowledge and skills for learners in the agriculture and land management industries, ensuring they understand various job roles. The Core Pathway focuses specifically on the Agriculture sector, equipping students with essential knowledge and skills for Occupational Specialism. Overall, students will develop the competencies necessary to enter the industry and demonstrate their abilities over time with appropriate support and training.

The T Level comprises of 80% classroom and workshop-based learning, and 20% industry placement. This placement, of 315 hours over the duration of the course or approximately 45 days, provides learners with meaningful experience working within an industry relevant to their T Level programme.

Occupational Specialism

  • Tasks could include: Husbandry tasks, Rearing, Livestock production, Feeding and accommodation, Crop production, Machinery and equipment, Estate maintenance, Environment and accommodation, Health, welfare and performance, Areas of the livestock production environment, as well as Performance data

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed by exams, assignments, industry experience on a range of theoretical knowledge, occupational specialism, and employer set project.

The T Level includes 9 weeks minimum working with an employer on a commercial farm.
