Sewing for Beginners

Whether you are a complete beginner or a more experienced dressmaker in need of advice and tips, this sewing group will provide a supportive, sociable setting for you to improve your skills. The tutor will guide complete beginners through a series of projects to learn all the basics from setting up a sewing machine to putting in zips and making button holes. More experienced students can bring in any projects they want to work on, with the tutor on hand to help. You can learn to make your sewing look more professional, get help following patterns and even learn the basics of making your own patterns. Large cutting tables and sewing tables and sewing machines are available to use, or you can bring in your own machine if you prefer.
