Interpersonal Skills Award Level 1

EASTBOURNE CAMPUS. Using key concepts, this course will explore a range of interpersonal and counselling skills. Skills learnt include listening and communication, knowledge of the development of self and an understanding of how prejudices and value judgements impact our everyday life. Entry is only open to those over the age of 18 at the course start date. This course is a pre-requisite of the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills

The course offers continual assessment from tutor and peers. Final assessment is via a portfolio consisting of skills feedback, self-assessment and learning journal. This course is NCFE accredited

This course can provide a pathway to counsellor training and leads to the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills. Alternatively, participants will gain valuable transferable skills in the workplace
