Course Summary

This qualification is designed to provide the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to work as a Gym Instructor in the sport and physical activity sector. This qualification is a prerequisite for Level 3 Personal Training qualifications which is also available to study as a follow on course. - This qualification is designed to provide the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to work as a Gym Instructor in the sport and physical activity sector. This qualification is a prerequisite for Level 3 Personal Training qualifications. - Seeking employment in the sector seeking access to the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) - Seeking recognition for previous experience seeking to develop skills and knowledge in the sector. - Aged 17+ - Learners who wish to undertake this qualification must also achieve the VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Sport and Fitness Sessions qualification or a regulated equivalent.

Learners who achieve this qualification are eligible to become a fitness instructor and become a member of the chartered institute for the management of sport and physical activity (CIMSPA).
