Digital SLR Photography for Beginners

Ideal for beginners or to refresh your knowledge in photography, you will gain a full understanding of your camera's basic manual controls and simple composition. The course will cover the three main principles of photography: ISO, shutters and apertures. Students will be required to bring examples of homework into class in any particular format of their choosing, ie print, iPad, laptop. Students must bring their Digital SLR camera to all lessons . Tripod is helpful but not essential. Tutor: Paul Manser

Continuous informal assessment throughout the sessions, and where appropriate, through the use of Individual Learning Plans, as specified by RARPA

Some courses will offer progression routes, there may also be an opportunity to join other associated courses or clubs. This will be discussed during the last lesson
