Course Summary

This qualification builds on concepts and skills at level 2 and provides learners with a more in-depth knowledge of the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work. The Diploma will provide a more in-depth opportunity to develop counselling skills and the different approaches involved. The course also supports the importance of self-development.

Course Details

There will be a variety of delivery methods including presentations, group discussions, case studies and role plays with many utilising individual and peer presentation formats. Given that communication skills are an essential part of counselling, maximum use is made of role-play and reflection on the application of different techniques including video recording and reflecting on personal development.

Entry requirements

A level 2 in counselling would be helpful but other experience /qualifications will be considered.
