Beginners IT

Ideal for people of any age who have never touched a computer before and would like to know the basics. We will cover switching the computer on/off, accessing programmes such as Word and use of toolbars, menus, icons and de-mystifying jargon. We will learn how to get on-line, basic navigating and searching, sending and replying to emails and effective use of the Internet. Tutor: John Saunders

Continuous informal assessment throughout the sessions, and where appropriate, through the use of Individual Learning Plans, as specified by RARPA.

You will be able to progress to the You Can Do IT - Next Steps course or IT Workshop subject to ability and recruitment.
