You are required to purchase a kit that consists of all the equipment you will need to get started, a uniform which must be worn within the training studio and a textbook to assist your studies.
Details will be given at interview.
Course Summary
This fast-track one-year course is taught one day a week during term time and will teach you the essential knowledge and skills to provide facial skin care, eyelash and brow treatments, manicure and pedicure services.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
In our modern training studios, the course is based on continuous assessment of practical work, assignments, homework and short written papers throughout the course. You will collate all your work in a portfolio of evidence.
Your next steps...
On completion of the course you will be able to work as a beauty therapist within a salon or on a freelance basis. You may wish to progress onto the part time level 3 beauty course which covers body massage and electrical facial treatments. You also have the option of the level 4 salon management course which is delivered part time with a mix of on campus and remote independent learning and assessment.
