Course Summary
Our Teacher Education Pathway prepares students for degree level study on a wide range of Primary Education degree courses. Previous students from this Pathway have progressed onto degree courses such as Primary Education with QTS, Primary Education with Mathematics Specialism, Primary Special Educational Needs with QTS. On this Pathway, in addition to the core modules, you will be studying the following subject modules:
� School-Based Practice
� Introduction to Psychology
� Introduction to Sociology
� The Psychology of Early Socialisation
� Development of Social Welfare
� Social Welfare in the 21st Century
� Anti-Discriminatory Practice
� Education Studies
� The History of Education
� Working with Literary Texts
� Literature and Society
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course. Assignments, which take a variety of forms (such as essays, reports and presentations) are completed for each module. Students on all pathways complete a final assessment of a research project and presentation on a topic within their subject discipline.
