Access to Higher Education Diploma : Nursing and Healthcare Professions

Our Nursing and Healthcare Professions Pathway prepares students for degree level study on a variety of Health and Nursing-related degree courses. Previous students from this Pathway have progressed onto degree courses such as Adult Nursing, Children�s Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Midwifery. On this Pathway, in addition to the core modules, you will be studying the following subject modules: � Musculoskeletal System � Reproduction and Inheritance � Mammalian Control � Anti-Discriminatory Practice � Reflective Practice and Work Experience in a Health and Social Care Setting � Health Studies � Introduction to Psychology � Psychology & Mental Health � The Sociology of Health � Cardiopulmonary System � Disease and Body Defence

Assessment is ongoing throughout the course. Assignments, which take a variety of forms (such as essays, reports and presentations) are completed for each module. Students on all pathways complete a final assessment of a research project and presentation on a topic within their subject discipline.
