Course Summary
Our Access courses prepare people for degree-level study in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Teacher Education, Sciences and Health Studies. Many of our students go on to the Universities of Sussex, Brighton and Chichester (where we have some guaranteed interviews and some guaranteed places) and an increasing number of our students gain places at universities throughout Britain.
The Access Courses is 'QAA approved', which means that it is validated by LASER Learning Awards (formerly Open College Network).
On this course you will study a combination of Science and Social Science units to give you the necessary qualification to progress to a degree in Nursing, Midwifery and other healthcare professions.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Students will be asked to submit assignments for each subject unit, and to complete course work in the core units. Assignments may take the form of essays, reports, textual analysis, seminar presentations and examinations. All students submit a research project which forms a major part of the overall assessment
Entry requirements
You must hold GCSE English or Maths at C /4 or above and retake the other alongside the Access course if you dont have both.
Your next steps...
The course is designed for people who wish to enter H.E. in any field of nursing or midwifery.
